Flo Simon retired from the Bellingham Police Department in 2022 after nearly 33 years of dedicated service to the community.  She began her career at the BPD as an entry level police officer and retired as Interim Police Chief.

Throughout her career, Flo achieved every leadership rank in the department from officer to chief, becoming the first woman in the history of the department to reach each milestone.

Her service to the community continues as she serves as Treasurer of the FBI National Academy, on the board of the Bellingham Public School Foundation and the Whatcom Community Foundation and is a member of the Bellingham Bay Rotary Club.

When she's not chasing around her daughter, Flo enjoys gardening and donating ribs to non-profit auctions.
